"Regardless of whether they were self-trained, al-qaeda trained, or trained by the Pakistani military or intelligence services, their act was an act of terrorism. Syria, Iran, and Iraq under Sadam have been sponsoring and training terrorists for decades; their sponsorship and training in no way lessen the terrorist nature of the acts of the PLO, Hezbollah, etc....
