"The American attitude towards so-called celebrity antics is hardly unique. I would suggest you glance through the pages of any British tabloid. The National Enquirer has nothing on them. The main problem is that being famous has become an end unto itself - not the result of incredible talent and hard work. Legendary stars such as Humphrey Bogart, Marylin Monroe, Cary Grant, Lauren Bacall, Gary Cooper, Ava Gardner, James Cagney, Miss Hepburn herself, etc, were nurtured by film studios (American film studios I might add) and put through intensive training which insured their natural talent would shine. Their image was protected and an aura of mystery created around them. Contemporary actors have no such luxury; they have to fend for themselves. So whereas in the past even marginal talents got an opportunity to go beyond expectations nowadays lack of talent is readily apparent and minor "celebrities" need to resort to attention getting stunts. True talent is still out there and - just as with vulgarity and crassness - can be found on both sides of the pond. And for those who wish to believe the British are always classier than Americans, I have two words for them: Benny Hill. ;)"

"Congratulations indeed. She looks so small, doesn't she? Soon she'll enter the "terrible twos," then her first day of school, then middle school, then boyfriends, followed by high school and peer pressure. Then college and before you know it, she's married and has made you a grandfather. Enjoy every single day. :)"

"It's alright, Nani. I could be completely wrong. I often am. Just ask my kids, lol." - Whoever
"Nani, what I worry about is that you are (or seem to be) becoming too accepting of coarse language (i.e., crude or rude) and male viewpoints on sex and women and (again) seem to be internalizing them as your own. If you bend over backwards trying to play by men's rules you are doomed to lose. Eventually no boy or man will think of you as smart nor will they take you, your wonderful talent or feelings seriously; expecting only one thing. That is the slippery slope to which I was referring. Believe it or not there is a whole real world out there beyond the pages of Lumra full of nice, well-meaning boys your own age who are willing to like you on your own terms. If I am wrong to worry about all of this feel free to disregard and even delete this comment."

"Nani, this image is truly artistic and I second Blazius' suggestion that you explore all avenues of the graphic arts. You should realize you have an extremely creative mind that should not go to waste. While I understand that Lumra is a perfect outlet for you to display your work, just do me a favor and look up the definition of the phrase "slippery slope." I am aware that, as you have repeatedly stated elsewhere, you are not a exactly a child anymore but, you are not yet an adult either and I worry about you sometimes. Alright. I'm off the soapbox, lol."
